How Can We Help You?

1. Do I need a professional drawing to get a granite countertop quotation?
No, you can provide a hand drawn sketch, as long as it gives the countertop dimensions and shows the location of the sinks and cooktops. Send it or fax it to us and we will send your quote by return (usually same day).

2. Will you visit us to make a template of our kitchen or bathroom countertops?
Yes. We measure and/or template once your cabinets are in place, level and secured to the walls. Please have your sinks, faucets and cooktop available during this visit so that we can see them.

3. Do I need to be there when you template?
Yes. It is required and preferred that you are there when we template and install your custom countertops, to answer any questions and to ensure your satisfaction.

4. Can we plaster the walls after you have templated?
No You must plaster walls before templating. Tiling should be done after the granite countertops have been installed.

5. If I am replacing existing counters do they have to be removed before templating?
It is preferable that they be removed to allow proper determination of the sizes of the cabinets below. Otherwise we will replicate the sizing of the existing counters plus any specific changes you may want. Also, sinks, taps and hobs should all be disconnected before our templater arrives.

6. Can you re-connect my electrical and plumbing connections?
We are a granite fabricator, but not licensed electricians or plumbers. Our installers do not disconnect, reconnect or install appliances or plumbing fixtures. Jensen Stoneworks of Central Florida countertops can not assume any liability for making electrical or plumbing connections.

7. What can I do to Prepare my home for countertop installation?
We try to minimize any uneasiness you may have during construction and installation of your new countertops, but here are a few things you need to be aware of:

 We need the make and model of cook tops, sinks and faucets.
 All base cabinets must be completely cleaned out.
 Take down pictures and wall hangings, and move throw rugs, plants and pet dishes. .
 Seal off adjacent rooms. Any construction creates dirt and dust, so you could tape sheets or plastic drop cloths over doorways in order to keep dirt from reaching the rest of the house.
 If you are going to have other people doing work in your home, please instruct them NOT to use your new granite countertops as a workbench.
